Caring Transitions has served the Omaha metro since 2011, and we assumed ownership in 2020. We specialize in helping seniors, families, executors, estate attorneys, and busy professionals navigate the often overwhelming process of downsizing, relocating, estate liquidation, and clearing out a home. Our goal is to provide organized, stress-free solutions tailored to each client’s unique situation.
Our services include senior move management, downsizing assistance, estate sales, online auctions, estate cleanouts, home cleanouts, relocation services, personal property appraisals, and liquidation of personal property and collectibles. Whether helping a family transition a loved one into senior living, managing the contents of an estate after a loss, or assisting clients preparing a home for sale, we provide compassionate, hands-on support from start to finish.
One of the things that sets us apart is that we manage the entire process ourselves. We do not hand projects off to third parties or operate through disconnected crews. We remain directly involved throughout every stage of the project and are actively present on-site overseeing the work, communicating with clients, and ensuring every detail is handled properly. From the initial consultation through sorting, organizing, packing, moving coordination, estate sales, online auctions, donations, cleanouts, and final property preparation, clients work directly with us throughout the entire transition process.

Originally from England, Olivia previously worked as a jewelry and clothing buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City before spending more than 25 years as a litigation consultant for national and international law firms. Olivia is also an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers and provides personal property appraisal services with a focus on developing accurate, well-supported valuations for estates, collections, and household contents. Her background provides valuable expertise when evaluating jewelry, fashion, antiques, collectibles, and household contents while bringing a highly organized, solutions-focused approach to every client project.
A lifelong Omaha-area resident and graduate of University of Nebraska, Omaha, Joe brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, collectibles, coins, currency, and rare books. His national network of collectors and buyers helps maximize exposure for specialty collections and unique estate items.
Joe is also a licensed real estate professional and holds the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation, which focuses on helping adults age 50+ navigate major life transitions involving downsizing, relocation, and home sales. Together, Joe and Olivia combine local knowledge, appraisal expertise, industry experience, and compassionate service to help Omaha-area families through every stage of transition.
